Infused Knowledge Received by Christina Gallagher
Infused Knowledge received by Christina Gallagher in relation to the words of Jesus “Heaven and Earth will pass away but My words will not pass away.” Almighty God is One from all eternity. The Son existed within the bosom of the Father in a way that could be compared humanly to the presence of a child in the womb of its mother. God opened Himself up in the giving of His Son and as the Life of Heaven. There are seven degrees of glory – seven levels in the Life of Heaven. God remained open, flowing His knowledge to His Son made Man. When Jesus proclaimed, “No one can come to the Father except through me.” He means no one can enter heaven except the life of Jesus is in them. Like a flower opens up, so God opened up. Yet the flower which opens has to give life, (through the spread of pollen this is achieved). So with God, He gave us life in Christ, for we had nothing. The gift of life in Christ through Baptism is an enormity beyond understanding. The continuing presence of Jesus vulnerable in the Blessed Sacrament and begging us “to watch even” one hour with Him is an enormity we can never fully appreciate – the enormity of the life of God opened up even here below in the sacraments. All of us should strive to keep that enormity as a burning fire within us and not just within ourselves but also in others through the gift of love. The greatest gift is the gift of love, recognizing our own nothingness and our total indebtedness to God for all that is given us in the life of Christ. Then we are patient and kind, never rejoicing in other people’s sins but only in the truth, never taking offence, but always ready to excuse and to accept whatever comes. The life of Christ nurtured in our souls is the Mystical Body. We have free will, however, and we will be forever tempted. Those of us who sin and cut ourselves off from Christ’s Mystical Body can repent and return until the last moment, like the Prodigal Son in the parable of Jesus. The three falls of Jesus on the way of the Cross gain us the strength to rise. Those graces can assist those who fall right to the end of our earthly life. It is in this connection that Jesus told the parable about the workers in the vineyard all getting the same wage, the last getting the same as the first. Some people find this puzzling but it is not really, according to the knowledge given. Those in the parable who begin work early are like the people who stroll down the road of life, and do not deviate, yet they do not do any great good, just as they do not do anything really bad. Those who only arrive later are people who have been fed everything of desire and of the flesh. It is so much more difficult for a person to make a complete u-turn knowing the pleasures of the flesh. For someone who has been away till the last hour enjoying the pleasures of the flesh it is so much harder to change. Because of the battle needed to get back, with all the sweetness of the temptations fulfilled and only, perhaps, a flicker keeping them in touch with God, He awards them the full days wages. Those who die in mortal sin will go to hell. Purgatory exists for the present for the purification of souls saved from hell but not yet worthy to unite with God in heaven for all eternity. Purgatory has levels of purification according as these souls require different intensities of purification. You will finally return. The world will end. Purgatory will no longer be needed when its purifying work of souls will be completed. Hence, when - as Jesus said – Heaven and earth will pass away, the ‘passing away’ of Heaven will really mean God drawing humanity which has received life through His Son, into the unity of the Trinity. Heaven will pass away because it will no longer have a function. Like a flower closing, the Mystical Body completed is then drawn into the Godhead for eternity. Until heaven and earth pass away the 3-fold action of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, i.e. creating, redeeming and purifying will not yet be complete. |
